Help & Support

First boot

Open the instance in a browser, confirm you own it, and finish the wizard.

Open https://<instance-address>/. The first certificate is not from a public CA, so the browser will warn. That is expected — continue to the site.

Click Advanced, then proceed to the site. Expected on every Sigmodata AMI before Let's Encrypt is configured.

Start setup

You should see a page that the instance is not set up yet. Choose Start setup.

Start setup from the landing page.

Confirm ownership

Paste the EC2 instance ID from the console (it starts with i-). This check runs once. After setup, the instance ID is not a password.

The instance ID proves you launched this box. It is not stored as a login.

Walk the wizard

Welcome, then Access (admin password), then Security (certificate), then any product-specific steps, then Review. Nothing requires a reboot. You do not put passwords in EC2 user data.

Example from the VPN AMI. Other products use the same wizard chrome with different welcome copy.
Review, then finish. The instance is ready immediately.
When the wizard finishes you get a confirmation screen, then sign-in.

After setup, open https://<instance-address>/admin to manage the certificate, users, API tokens, and product-specific settings. The main app (synthesis, transcription, VPN portal, Jupyter, and so on) stays at the instance root.

Next: admin console, certificates, and sign-in.
